Last night, brother and sister Internet Marketing Strategists got together to put on our very first live Business Webinar, on the topic of Facebook.
We were excited but a bit nervous in the minutes before the Webinar started up, and I had only just finished planning out my script 20 minutes before the bell went off, but once we got going, it all went very well!

Why Facebook For Business?
We chose this topic as our first Webinar specifically because of the power of sites like Facebook for business, and now, creeping up on them in a business-to-business connection sense, LinkedIn.
Also, we chose this business webinar topic because we find that a lot of our clients have questions about how to use Facebook for business, and how in particular to keep their information safe and secure while still successfully wooing new clients and customers.
My part of the webinar covered the basics of keeping Personal information private so Business contacts don’t see all of your activities on Facebook – even if you have those business contacts on your Friends list just like your siblings and cousins and other family members.
Impressive Attendance to our Facebook for Business Webinar
One thing that really impressed me about this first webinar we put on was the response rate!
Eighteen people signed up for the webinar, and THIRTEEN showed up! Only five didn’t show, and a couple of them we’ve heard since then didn’t show up because they weren’t on the right email lists to be reminded in time.
Twelve people stayed right from start to end of the webinar, and the question and answer period had a healthy flow of questions!
Since closing off the webinar, the flow of contacts in has been very inspiring and rewarding as well.
It’s really excellent to see that the knowledge Douglas and I have gathered over our years on the Internet is so valuable to those within our social network, and so much fun to teach and share great ways to use Facebook for business that people might not have thought about before.
