Know what a Meetup is?

It’s a social gathering that’s put together thanks to the social networking website Meetup.Com, and most respectably-sized cities have at least a few groups running.

There are a variety of Meetup groups listed on Meetup.com for the Winnipeg Manitoba area.

The ones that I’m involved with myself mix between work and play:  A couple sizable Social Media and Freelancer with a lot of cross-over, and a completely different group of people in the “strictly social” ones.

I’m pretty new to the Meetup groups, but so far it’s been a great way to meet a few new people and have some fun conversation for an evening.  Great for people like me who have home-based businesses!
